It Is Simple To Receive An Expedited USA Passport

If you are new to passports you might be surprised at the time variation from application to receiving the document. It is possible, following specific protocol, to receive a passport the same day you apply. It can also take a minimum of ten weeks for your passport to be issued. Generally, however, if you receive a passport within one month, sometimes less, then this is considered a rush. There are two ways in which you can expedite passport. If you choose either of these ways, in both cases you will need to complete the passport application as well as carry some application materials along with you.

For an additional $60 for expedited service via the government this will allow for overnight delivery. In doing this you may be able to receive your passport in four weeks from the initial date you applied. On the other hand, if you visit a passport office, after making an appointment, you might possibly receive the document in as little as three weeks.

As mentioned earlier, there are two ways to be issued out a passport. If you do not plan on leaving the country for a few weeks there is a method suitable for you. And, if you plan on leaving the country within two weeks, well, there is a method for you as well.

The first method requires you to prepare your passport application materials. Make sure you have the necessary knowledge for the process of not having a U. S birth certificate. Next, add your $60 rush fee to the amount of the passport fee. Determine the address on the passport application so that you may contact the office for possible payment acceptance.

You will now want to put your completed materials, including payment, in a manila envelope addressed to the correct office. On the outside, write “Expedited”. You might want to pay for overnight service each way. Finally, take your envelope to the post office to mail. Or, you might prefer to use UPS or FedEx, however, whichever way you choose, ask for two-way service.

The second method is for people who plan to leave the country within two weeks. Please note, however, that you can follow these steps, but it does not guarantee you will receive your passport within the two week time period. You will need to have specific proof that you will be leaving outside the nation within two weeks. You might show an e-ticket or a paid itinerary. Whichever you choose, it must be specific proof. The Department of State notes on their website that you may not go to the post office or apply via mail. If you are leaving within two weeks you must apply in person.

To meet the requirements for the second method you must prepare your application materials. As in the first method, you need to find out the total cost of your passport and add $60 for the rush fee. You need to locate the passport agency nearest to your home. Place a call to this agency and you will be connected to an automated process that walks you through the appointment booking. Be sure to make note of the address, the appointment date and time, and the confirmation number.

Arrive early for your appointment and make certain to have all of the US passport application materials. Make certain all of your expedited US passport paperwork is in order. Be particularly certain you have specific proof you will be leaving the country within two weeks, otherwise, you are asking for some difficulties. Then, proceed through the process and good luck!
